I have a one man empire, and I'm currently rated #18. So I guess I disagree with you.

In all honesty, I started my empire with the intention of getting several real life friends to join in. It just never panned out.

While respecting Willy's opinion, I think you have a good idea.  The Kzinti Empire was built on strength in numbers.  Rally the troops.  You might have some unexpected members.

While respecting WIlly as having opinions and jacklv as being respectful, I just have to mention that the "tater salad" implications here could be extensive...

I'm mostly thinking of the empires at the bottom of the rankings. If Willy has a one man empire ranked at 18th I think he should stay at it and he should have some people to join his empire. But for the empires that are ranked low they should either get more people to join or join another empire.

 To each to his own and I respect what you have to say. People should join and do, but they don't stay active and that is really the bad part of all this is. Do you realize just how many active Empires there are. I would say less than 10, out of hundreds. Even in the the top ten. Rank 3,4,and 5 are dead and Rank  9 , 10, 11 and 12 are also very dead.

I started at the bottom of the rank. I crawled to the top ten in two years with only a few players and now I so close taking Rank 6 back.

Half of my empire has been active in the last six months. It has only ten people in it but we are ranked 30th and are slowly inching our way higher.

All other remaining empires (except Kzinti) join the Adeptas Sororitas and then we could have an epic final battle Good against Evil. That would be fun.

Who survives Armaggedon?

Be careful of that drink offer, KP.  Gm00nii likes to make mixed drinks that you might not find at a regular bar.  Whiskey and razor blades, Tequila and stricknine...

But my bar isn't regular at all. We got Bloody Marys and Virgin Shirly Temples, Oh and also got that Flaming Drink but we don't have Whiskey and razor blades, Tequila and stricknine, but  We do serve Holy Water, it burns the inside out.    Gotta love it.

I did some checking and there is 1662 Empires, I would say almost all of the them are dead and what is to come of this? So for the few that are active I whish you luck.
